iPod Video / Classic 5th, 5.5, 6th & 7th Gen HDD ZIF Cable
A replacement HDD ZIF ribbon cable, the cable that connects the hard drive (or a flash storage adapter) to the logic board. Replace it if yours is torn, creased or not seating properly.
Compatibility
- iPod Video 5th Gen and 5.5 Gen (A1136)
- iPod Classic 6th Gen 80GB and 120GB, and 7th Gen 160GB (A1238)
- iPod Classic 6th Gen 160GB (thick): this model uses a different original hard drive cable, so this isn't a replacement for its stock cable. If you're flash modding a 160GB, though, this is the ZIF ribbon you need.

Upgrading to flash? Our Dual MicroSD Card Adapter already comes with a matching ZIF cable.
Fitting
ZIF cables and their connectors are thin and easy to damage, so handle them gently. You'll need to open your iPod, and our opening tools and ESD-safe tweezers help. Or let us handle it through our mail-in repair service.

- 12 months on every refurbished custom iPod.
- 90 days on repairs and on parts we fit.
Shipping
- In-stock items are dispatched within 1–2 days.
- Custom builds are made to order and take 1–2 weeks.
Returns
- You have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. It needs to be unused, in the same condition you received it and in its original packaging.
- Custom-optioned iPods can only be returned under warranty.
